About Tabora School

Welcome to Tabora School

A public school in Tanzania founded in 1922. The school was established to educate sons of African Chiefs and wealthy tribesmen. The school first followed a tribal structure where students were assigned to dormitories based on their tribe, and received education on their respective tribal customs. In its early days the school was considered the 'Eton of Tanganyika' and is currently still a leading figure in Tanazania.

The first self-government cabinet in 1961 had eight ministers whose five were all from Tabora Boys. Among the famous people who studied at this school are Rashidi Kawawa and the father of the Tanzanian nation, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere.

The schools render quality education in a tranquil environment with courses in secondary which is form 1-4 and advanced classes from form 5-6

Tabora School registers gifted pupils/students from all regions in Tanzania with astonishing perfomances and potential who get to be assigned to the school by the governnment.

Tabora school have been initiated by the government with the aim of helping the parents in Tanzania in general for provision of quality educational needs ranging from secondary to advanced higher education levels hence attain the best within our reach in Tanzania.
